What is MusicDNA?

MusicDNA is a suite of cutting edge music related technologies that will dramatically change the way you conduct a traditional music search, play your music, make a music recommendation to friends, and generate a music playlist — in essence it will transform your entire approach to digital music.

With MusicDNA you are able to extract the essential information from your music, enabling you to sort, search, explore and connect your music and related information in a way, which has not been possible before.

Who is MusicDNA?

BACH Technology is the company behind MusicDNA. Founded in 2007, the company has since then established subsidiaries in Germany and China. The foundation of MusicDNA’s R&D is underpinned by the long term strategic partnership with Fraunhofer IDMT, a world renowned German research institute for music technology.

BACH Technology A.S., hereafter referred to as BACH, accepts no responsibility for the topicality, accuracy, completeness or quality of the collected information contained on its website. Liability claims against BACH for any of the following reasons will be excluded as long as BACH can reasonably demonstrate that they are not responsible for any faults:

BACH retains the copyright over all of its items created by BACH on its site, which are available to the public via the internet. To the best of our ability and to such an extent as is possible for a public access internet site, BACH will respect data protection rights of individuals and companies who collaborate with BACH (emails addresses, names, and addresses). Any such data, which is provided to BACH is done so completely upon a free will basis and with the prior consent of the individuals concerned. The rights and payment of services offered to BACH are- as much as is technically possible- protected data. This includes anonymous publications and writers writing under a pseudonym. What information do we collect?

User registration and customer support

When you register to use a MusicDNA website or application or contact us for support, MusicDNA collects information that identifies you. This may include your name, company name, email address, or payment information.

MusicDNA websites and applications

MusicDNA product activation

When you activate your MusicDNA product, we collect certain information about your MusicDNA product, used device, and your selected account (your name, your email address). Some of our products include features that connect to our servers and offer you the ability to install updates to the product. We may keep track of information such as whether the update was successful or not.

MusicDNA emails

Emails we send you may include a web token that tells MusicDNA whether you have received or opened the email, or clicked a link within the email.

What do we use your information for?

How do we protect your information?

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive information (e.g. credit cards, financials, etc.) are transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted and stored by our payment gateway provider (cleverbridge AG, Germany). These data are only to be accessed by those authorized with special access rights. Accessors are required to keep the information confidential.
Your private information (e.g. credit cards, financials, etc.) will never be stored on our servers.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
